Senior Research Fellow, Plymouth University, UK
Dr Anthony Morse is a senior research fellow in humanoid robotics, neural systems, and learning and development, at Plymouth University. His Ph.d, from Sussex University in 2006, focused on unsupervised self-learning in simple robots, while his current work replicates psychological experiments and data on infant and child development and learning. Working with artificial neural networks and state-of-the-art humanoid robots, gives us a tool for investigating how human cognition works and how we learn. This leads to new mechanistic accounts explaining human behaviour verified against child psychology data, and providing new predictions tested in humans.
