Virginia Teehan works at University College Cork as Director of Cultural Projects. She has extensive experience in the initiation and curation of a number of award winning exhibitions, publications and film productions in the cultural and heritage sectors. Virginia was a member of the Heritage Council and as Chair of the Museums and Archives Committee oversaw the development and implementation of the Irish Museum Standards Programme. She has published widely in the area of fine and decorative arts as well as cultural management. Currently, Virginia is working with Boston College on a major exhibition of the Irish Arts and Crafts Movement (opening Spring 2016). Qualified as a professional archivist, Virginia served as Chair of the Society of Archivist and in that capacity successfully advocated for the statutory protection of local authority archives. Virginia was previously Director of the Hunt Museum, Limerick.
